A fisherman can use it without training.
Large buttons, spoken prompts, wind protection, offline capture and a booking-ready story.
PocketTake helps you capture everyday stories, food reviews, events, and conversations on your phone. Review your edits, keep your originals, and prepare your videos to share.
The first victory is not a giant network. It is one ordinary person capturing one valuable conversation safely and receiving a finished story.
Build an offline-first mobile system that starts in under 30 seconds, safely records a two-person interview, preserves the original, and automatically delivers a captioned full interview plus its strongest social clip.
Large buttons, spoken prompts, wind protection, offline capture and a booking-ready story.
Original footage remains untouched. Low-confidence edits and sensitive words require approval.
The user reviews the result instead of planning, logging, trimming, captioning and packaging manually.
Phone and tablet recording remain the core. Desktop hosts can invite one guest from a phone, tablet or computer.
Private guest link, host and guest camera previews, two microphone meters, recording permission from both people, side-by-side and focus layouts, screen sharing with optional browser-provided audio, microphone/content volume controls, camera insets, solo Screen + Camera mode, private host notes, and a combined 720p recording saved in My Studio. Stop-and-save on disconnect and local recovery checkpoints are included.
Open Guest Studio beta →Two separate networks, phone and tablet guest joining, audio sync, permission withdrawal, screen sharing, interruptions, saving and recovery. Direct connections may fail on restrictive networks. No paid relay is active; costs and provider approval come before enabling one.
Separate participant recordings, more guests, stronger reconnection and relay coverage. Public live streaming and social-account broadcasting remain deferred.
After a completed upload, the server would finish your reviewed edit while you leave the app. This is planned, not available yet.
Explicit permission, resumable private uploads, saved job status, and a finished MP4 in My Studio. Uploading still needs the phone and connection; server processing can continue after upload finishes. Your device original stays intact.
A managed-rendering candidate lists $0.30 per output minute: approximately $1.50 for five minutes or $18 for an hour, before other costs. No plan has been purchased. Choose a provider and budget before enabling paid jobs.
Provider pricing checked September 20, 2026 ↗Proposed: remove incomplete uploads after 24 hours of inactivity, successful job inputs within 24 hours, and finished cloud videos after seven days. Show expiry, Save on this device, and Delete now. Provider deletion and scheduled cleanup must be tested before these policies go live.
Build order: choose the processing service → private resumable uploads and capped jobs → render and return to My Studio → verify phone interruptions, playback, costs and deletion. Cloud backup and transcription remain separate.
AI is deferred. No AI account, installation or payment is needed for the current recording build.
Compare ten-second Standard and Natural sound samples, choose the clearer setting, check both voices, record with front/rear camera switching, target Full HD (1080p) at 30 fps with an on-screen resolution readout, save locally, then choose Edit Interview for automatic quiet-pause cuts or keep the complete original. Optional trim sliders, cut adjustments and captions remain available. Camera switching keeps one recording with a brief held picture; Pixel 6 microphone and front/rear camera checks were reported working by the user. Switching cameras during one recording still needs its first Pixel test.
Test Android with the phone microphone, then with an external microphone or receiver. Add iPhone testing later. Check airplane mode, interruptions and reopening saved interviews. Target reliable 60-minute interviews: first pass real 30-minute, then 60-minute Pixel tests with pause/resume, playback and download. A reminder appears after 30 minutes of recorded time; a quiet five-minute countdown begins at 55 minutes, with no sound, pop-up or automatic cutoff. Two-hour support is a later target after device testing. Automatic quiet-pause analysis uses two-minute sections for recordings over 20 minutes or 200 MB, with a 60-minute testing target; fallback MP4 conversion supports up to 100 MB. Smaller sharing exports show a size estimate and offer separate five-minute edited parts. Full-hour phone editing and sharing still need field testing.
Add automatic captions and strongest-clip suggestions after the recording foundation passes its tests and you choose to resume AI. Review every result before sharing.
The full long-term goal remains below and across this plan. Dates are planning targets, not deadlines for activating AI. The earlier $10 pilot approval is on hold: no AI setup, uploads or spending while deferred. Optional cloud backup remains a separate future decision.
Start with a short test interview →Start with five relevant preset questions. Edit, add, remove and reorder them before recording; ask only what suits the conversation.
Business, travel, fishing, culture, personal stories, street opinion or general conversation. Categories guide the interview without restricting its topic.
Keep at least one question and build a list of up to twenty. Your selected questions appear during recording and are saved with the original.
AI generation remains deferred. Current suggestions come from the chosen category; typing a topic does not automatically generate new questions.
The intelligence can be advanced; the interface cannot feel advanced.
Original recording saved locally
Start with capture and safe storage. AI waits until the foundation works on real devices and you choose to add it.
Silence removal and captions are ingredients. The workflow before, during and after recording is the product.

Planning assumptions—not promised earnings. The network target depends on subscriptions, business accounts, mission fees, hosting, partner kits and sponsored programs.
Optimism does not protect recordings, margins or trust. Operating rules do.
When recording, safety, coaching, editing and publishing feel like one action—not six separate products—we have earned the verb.
